The Skilled Facilitator Workshop Logistics - November 1-5, 2010 Chapel Hill, NC

Flights:
Please fly into RDU (Raleigh-Durham International Airport). http://www.rdu.com/. Here is a map of the airport http://www.rdu.com/mapsdirect/insiderdu.htm. I would suggest flying in Sunday evening, October the 31st, as the class starts promptly at 8:30 am on Monday, November the 1st.  The workshop ends at 4:00pm on the 5th so it would be possible to fly out after 6:30 pm on Friday the 5th. Traffic can be bad on I-40, the main highway to the airport, during rush hour. It takes about 25-30 min without traffic. I would allow no less than 1 hour to arrive and you must be checked in to your flight 30 minutes before your scheduled departure or they will bump you.

Ground Transportation:
Feel free to rent a vehicle or you may hire a shuttle to pick you up and return you to the airport.

Most charge between $30 and $40 one way. I would suggest booking the shuttle when you make your room reservations.

Shopping:
There is a community across the road called Meadowmont, which has restaurants, a grocery store, and a few shops. There is also a shopping center, Glen Lennox, about 1.75 miles down hwy 54 on the right toward downtown Chapel Hill. They have a drug store, gas station and a few other shops.  

Chapel Hill:
We have a great little town. Plenty to do and places to eat.

Location:
The Friday Center is where the workshop is being held. It sits right across from The Courtyard by Marriott. Less than a city block. The workshop begins each morning at 8:30 am and ends at 5:30 pm, except on Friday when the workshop finishes around 4:00 pm

Parking:
Be sure to park in the lots that are in front of the Friday Center.
